July 2023

In the summer term our Year 5 pupils took part in a fabulous art project with Mr Fox-Joyce, Head of Visual Arts Faculty at Langley Park School for Girls and Curriculum Strategy Lead for Art in our Trust and a group of Year 12 students from LPGS.  The result of their work is now proudly displayed outside our Reception classrooms.

Mr Fox-Joyce said...  

“We all thought the Y5 students were so well behaved, enthusiastic, inquisitive and wonderful to work with. We also thank all the staff at Hawes Down for all their assistance and support during the project, we had a real sense of collaboration over the days and would certainly like to build further links moving forward; I do hope we get a chance to collaborate again early in the new academic year.” 

We will certainly be looking for further opportunities to collaborate.  Thank you to Mr Fox-Joyce and to Mrs Price-Haworth [Art lead at HDPS] for making this happen.
